The moment you enter Planet Mars Foundation, you are greeted by joyful giggles and enthusiastic smiles from bright, young girls who call it their home. Located in Kallianpur, Udupi district, Karnataka, the orphanage accommodates 30 orphan and destitute girls from low-income households. What makes it a ‘home’, rather than a mere shelter, is the warmth, parental attention and freedom that the girls enjoy.

Every child at Planet Mars Foundation is treated with respect and dignity, allowing them to discover their potential and grow into confident individuals. They are also given access to the opportunities they deserve as children, which their own families cannot afford; be it quality education, nutritious food, sports and martial arts training, performing arts education and exposure to the outside world through field trips and meeting with visiting experts from various walks of life.


Now a successful model, with 30 girls receiving education, food, shelter and all-round support, Planet Mars Foundation is looking forward to grow its family to accommodate at least 100 girl children from underserved communities and economically deprived homes.
